Several members of DNS have volunteered to take part in a Dragon Boat Challenge to raise funds for Rainbows children’s hospice in the East Midlands.
Up to 50 companies will come together from all over the East Midlands to paddle it out over the 200m race course on the River Trent, Victoria Embankment in Nottingham on Sunday 5th August.
Teams and spectators benefit from being part of one of the region’s largest family festivals with a bustling fair and vibrant mix of music, dance, crafts and food from around the world, staged by Nottingham City Council.
The Challenge’s official charity, Rainbows, is the only children’s hospice in the East Midlands. By taking part in the Dragon Boat Challenge to raise money for Rainbows, we will have the chance to make a difference to over 380 children and their families from across the East Midlands counties.
Mark Walker, team event organiser at DNS, said:
“It’s great to be able to support a local charity and to raise funds for such a worthy cause. Its a day where everyone can come together, regardless of age and just have some fun. We wish team DNS all the best for the summer event.”
